For most of us in the Bay Area, we can't help to compare every trembler to the '89 Loma Prieta Earthquake. Today's jolt got some of us thinking..."is this it?" "Is this going to be the big one?"All of us here at the office thought there was major stomping going on upstairs and a passing big rig but we quickly realized it was a trembler. Luckily, it was short lived, but this is one of four noticeable ones in the last several days.
Are YOU prepared for the BIG ONE (Earthquake cochinos)?
- Bottled/Galloned Water
- Meeting location for you and the family in case lines of communication are down
- Canned Food
- Matches, Candles, etc
- Warm Clothes
- Radio & batteries
- First Aid Kit
- A week or two's worth of your prescription meds
- Board Games (hey you don't want to be bored
- And many more items according to your personal needs.
I need to get my Earthquake kit ready to go!

Ok so you got candles, matches. Your list is missing a radio and prophylactics. Several reports indicate a spike in pregnancies after traumatic event.
Um, radio is listed my dear...a spike in pregnancies is not a bad thing. The cycle of life: lives lost, new ones created! :)
