New Year, New Me. Wishes, Memories and Drama!




Time has flown by and another year has passed! There are so many things to be thankful for this year. Let's do a little recap of the year, shall we?

  • New babies in our circle of friends
  • Became the proud padrino of two beautiful baby twins
  • Had a crazy case of Giardia (undiagnosed for 3 weeks)
  • Went to some awesome concerts and saw my favorite artist's perform: Angelina, Lila Downs, Eddie Michael, Britney (although she's dingy), Luis Fonsi, Kelly Clarkson and GAGA!
  • Learned a lot and expanded on my programs at work
  • Witnessed close friends experience devasting losses in the family, yet coming together to support each other
  • Saw the official launch of Doble Mundo Productions with our official launch party
  • Have created some close working relationships with some very talented individuals-Eddie Michael & Gloria Medina
  • Made some great friends and got to know some of my peers even better
  • Disconnected from some people who were called friends at one point, but for whatever reason, this was not the right time to blossom on or nourish the bond. Sometimes you just can't expend unnecessary energy on some of these situations or individuals
  • Had some fun road trips to LA, Vegas, SD and around the bay
  • Had an amazing 31st birthday celebration with our official toy drive! It was amazing to see everyone come together and we had great support from not only the community, but from Angelina, Eddie Michael, Sigma Omega Phi, Mary Diaz and many more people I am blessed to have in my life!

One of the biggest moments in 2009 deserved its own bullet point:

  • Major Fall Out With The BFF! This was a significant dent into my life;her life; the life of our peers. We didn't realize how much it affected everyone until it reached rock bottom so to speak. Shoootttt we even had an intervention meeting with 8 of our friends and hashed it out at a table, lol. The things we do for each other, all in the name of love and friendship! Things are back on track.

    I don't want to make this a long and mushy blog but I know that I have many goals and aspirations for the New Year and I want to send out many blessings to everyone out there and to all of you who are a part of my life! Love you guys! Be safe out there tonight!

My Fredrick's of Hollywood Christmas gift!


I can't deny that I have some of the most open minded and funny peers that I could have ever asked the Lord for. Communicating with others and being comfortable enough to talk about the most intimate of topics is something to appreciate and value! Heck, we need to take advantage of the opportunity!! My parents have even raised an eyebrow at times and trip out when they hear about some of the information our friends share amongst each other (guys w/ girls, guys w/ guys, girls, w/ girls, etc.). My parents have even told me that they could not have fathomed having such open lines of communication or close friendships with people who had wed. Times have changed and friendships are so much more fluid, open, and intimate. I love it!

Speaking of open and intimate, lol, my sis and I visited our Comadre, our Godson and her twins yesterday evening. What was supposed to be a movie night out with our Godson while the nanny watched over the twins-ended up becoming a feeding, burping and venting session. It was great! After having visited my twin Godson's with my other comadre over the weekend, the visit last night made me think A LOT about where I am in life and whether I am ready for fatherhood? That is a topic for another blog-coming soon! Heh!

So back to last night's visit! As we are about to leave, our comadre tells us to wait while she grabs a gift she had gotten for my sis and I!
Here is a summary of the conversation:

Comadre: So I decided to get you both something a little more naughty this year!
Me: (thinking in my head, "OK Comadre-you are making this awkward with my sis right here")
Sis: Silent (yet I could almost here her saying "Oh great-awkward!" LOL)

Comadre: So Adrian, knowing the type of freak my compadre is, I had to get you something I saw at the store ( I start to think-comadre, you are about to taint the image my sis has of me -or at least the one I like to pretend she has of me!:))
Comadre Continues: I got something similar for you comadre and let me tell the both of you... Victoria's Secret has some sexy stuff but if you want to be dirty sexy, Fredrick's is the place to go. So I thought of you both!

LOL...the rest of the conversation is censored but let's just say that as she read me some of the instructions for my items, she informed me that it didn't matter if I didn't have some of the body parts specified in the instructions-either way it should still do the trick! Happy Holidays! :p

Holding myself accountable for the pounds!



It is time to hold myself accountable for the pounds. I may not have that many people signed onto my blog, but I know that by putting myself out there, allowing myself to be vulnerable, and sharing the one thing that I am most self concious about; will provide me with the healthy encouragement/pressure to do something about it!

This blog holds some key words in the title which include:

Music: I will be sharing a lot about the journey of Doble Mundo Productions. As well as new music by EDDIE MICHAEL and the comeback of my girl, ANGELINA!http://www.myspace.com/angelinamusic

Community: I hope to share many of the ideas, thoughts, and movements that I plan to continute supporting, while exploring new ones in the upcoming year.

Life: I might have to expand on the title but with "life" I was referring to everything that encompasses our being, in reference to our mind, body and spirit. That takes us to my weight!

The month of Decemeber is a dangerous one for my clothes and wallet, lol. Thanksgiving does a wonderful job of pushing the enevelope, or in my case, the zipper and buttons on my pants! Then soon after comes my birthday and the rest of the month is history-filled with holiday treats, celebrations, outtings, gatherings, and the list goes on and on! I had no excuse, but having had a bad cold and cough for a couple of weeks during this month set me back on my steady treadmill regimen.

What did it all equal? The picture above! I went on the scale and God forbid.....yes....I went above the dreaded mark that I told myself I never wanted to reach again. 300+! There, I SAID IT!

So, what does this mean. Well aside from the obvious:
  • Increased susceptibility to heart disease
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Lack of energy
  • Insufficient rest
  • Lowered sex drive (luckily I am not at that point yet, but do I dare imagine?)

It is time to take charge! I jumped on the treadmill last night and struggled to get through two miles! I need to get back into gear. My good friend Natalia keeps talking smack and wants to take me to enroll at the gym. I can't be a cheap ass anymore-my health depends on it! I also have the great motivation from my friend Blasa who started an awesome challenge for us online, that gets us moving with a goal of completing at least 45 miles of cardio a month (walking or jogging). I really have no excuse, with numerous sources of motivation and inspiration.

The journey begins. Perhaps I will be brave enough to take before and after pics? Whatever it may be, the time has come! I want to feel better and come on, who am I kidding, feel sexier than I already am! :) Want to join me on this adventure?

LADY GAGA DELUXE EDITION

I am still trying to figure out how to format and insert pics into the blog so bare with me! Sooooo...I went for it, I purchased my LADY GAGA- The MONSTER FAME DELUXE EDITION!! Why was I so excited and still tripping out on my complete obsession for this artist?









The book includes a very cool art book with images and creative pictures as only GAGA would have it!



The cover alone, was so cool, lol, with a mirror like cover to it. You will also notice the pic with a black stripe going across Gaga's eyes..and the infamous lock of hair from one of her wigs! There are other pics including one I know my BFF would LOVE-Gaga with a Hello Kitty dress! LOL Only Lady Gaga would make it work!










Coolest of all..you get all her songs on two CDs and some 3-D glasses that will come in handy in the near future according to the mother of all the lil monsters herself. RA RA RAMA MA.....To all my fellow monster brothers and sister out there...lol...my hand is clawing at you! :)

DOBLE MUNDO PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS: EDDIE MICHAEL


In early 2009, I embarked on a journey that was long overdue. For whatever reason, the momentum and lack of motivation on my part wasn't complimented until late January of this year. I was fortunate to have come across a long lost friend, Eddie, a couple of years earlier. As long as I could remember, he had always been very talented and hella gay, since the day I met him in high school.
Yet, this guy never stopped pursuing his dreams. Along came my dear friend Gloria-a developing yet sensational graphic designer. Before I knew it, Doble Mundo Productions received the catalyst it had long been waiting for.

A new beggining-so to speak

Just a few days away from the new year-2010. 2009 has been filled with so many memories. It has re-ignited deep friendships, seen the conclusion of others, and welcomed new spirits.

I, Adrian, would like to formally introduce myself to all of you. I am dynamic, persistent, stubborn, loving, animated, community-oriented, random, and so much more. I am far from perfect, but appreciate those areas in which I can constantly evolve in.
